Why I specialize in cancer
I gained exposure to supportive cancer care after spending several years providing palliative and hospice care. I love meeting patients where they are and providing direct care to patients, helping them stay in their homes and enjoy their lives to the fullest.
What Jasper patients have said about working with me
“It’s been so nice to work with Helen. She makes me feel heard and has shared resource referrals that have allowed me to remain independent and live in my home.”
I’ve been a social worker since 1995 and have worked across a range of settings and contexts: hospitals, community outreach, prisons, healthcare advocacy, home care and hospice, EAPs, and more. The common thread, no matter where I am or what someone is going through, has always been putting patients’ self-determination and positive self-regard first.
