Why I specialize in cancer
I chose to pursue a career in oncology as a teenager, after both of my parents were diagnosed with cancer within a year of each other. Since becoming an oncology social worker, I’ve worked closely with adults and their caregivers to provide support and guidance in navigating the complexities of cancer care. I see my job as helping people to define their new normal while finding meaning and joy in the midst of changing circumstances.
What Jasper patients have said about working with me
"Brie helped me navigate one of the hardest times of my life with compassion and patience. I will never forget the support she provided. She was a light during an incredibly difficult time."
I've been an oncology social worker for almost eight years and am passionate about providing hands-on support and navigation to patients facing changes following their cancer journey. I work with patients to find the right support for them and their family, which can range from community resources to employment, food insecurity, or emotional support for the complex range of feelings that cancer brings up.
