Our goal is to provide a grant that covers the FULL cost of surrogacy to someone who has a medical diagnosis that prevents them from having children on their own and who would not otherwise be able to afford one (we are the first organization to do so). We believe that medical conditions take so much away from people, it shouldn’t also take away your ability to have a family.

GCKC achieves our mission using an evidence-based, five-part program model that incorporates education, wellness, support, resource and referral, and social connection supporting our participants. GCKC presents educational workshops featuring experts from various disciplines, providing information on topics such as treatment options, side-effect management, financial and insurances guidance, and post-treatment management. We also offer healthy lifestyle classes, that demonstrate appropriate ways to engage in exercise, nutrition, expressive arts, and guided meditation. Short-term individual, family, couples, and grief counseling are offered, as well as support groups.

GYNCA provides support, resources, and education for women diagnosed with gynecologic cancers and their families. We service over 30 plus counties in Southwest Missouri by providing the following:

  • Gas Cards to attend lifesaving treatments
  • A $500 per member emergency fund to assist with non-medical assistance (ex: car repairs, utility assistance, home repair, rental assistance)
  • A free wig, stand, and gift bag
  • Monthly Support Group meetings
  • Individualized case management services
  • Emotional support
  • A members only Facebook Group to get tips, support, and understanding from others who have been in their shoes
  • Other community resources including referrals for medical assistance, mentoring programs, supplemental adjunct therapies, and any assessed needs.
  • Caregiver and Family support

I Will Survive, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization with a mission to provide prevention education, economic support, and health & wellness to those at higher risk and those affected by breast cancer free of charge. We pride ourselves on serving the needs of low-income women with breast cancer, especially single mothers with single income and/or limited support systems.

We offer three amazing services for our clients:

  1. Economic Support
    Program support for families in need battling breast cancer to provide nutrition with food pantry partner, I Care Atlanta, help pay rent/mortgage to mitigate homelessness and hunger, pay utility bills, and assist with transportation to get to and from doctor appointments to decrease emergency visits.
  2. Prevention Education
    Program support with outreach in the community by providing health education workshops and partnering with various entities to increase awareness for access to screenings, quality care, and health equity.
  3. Health & Wellness Services
    Program support for spiritual and mental wellness post-cancer to reduce mortality and recurrence rates of breast cancer, other health disparities associated with cancer post-treatments, overall quality of life increase (dental services included), and mental health awareness.

Imerman Angels partners anyone, any age, any gender, anywhere and any cancer type seeking support with someone just like them—a “Mentor Angel.” A Mentor Angel is a cancer survivor or caregiver who most importantly has faced the same type of cancer.

These one-on-one relationships give a cancer fighter or caregiver the chance to ask personal questions and get support from someone who has been there before. Mentor Angels can lend support and empathy and help cancer fighters and caregivers navigate the system, determine their options and create their own support systems. Frequently, caregivers experience feelings similar to those of the person facing cancer. Mentor Angels can relate while being sensitive to the experience and situation.

Kesem is the leading national nonprofit that supports children affected by a parent’s cancer. Founded in 2000, Kesem’s community of more than 4,000 volunteer college student leaders at more than 130 college campus chapters across the country provides year-round programs and services to support these children ages 6-18 at no cost to families. Its flagship program, Camp Kesem, is a week-long, sleep-away summer camp. At camp, kids have fun and build connections with each other and counselors who understand and are trained to support their needs. Beyond camp, year-round services such as care packages, personalized greetings, birthday cards, local gatherings, leadership groups, and affinity groups provide a continuum of touchpoints for campers and their families outside of camp. By offering free, creative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community, Kesem aims to ensure that every child impacted by a parent’s cancer is never alone.

Facilitators are trained beauty professionals who provide real-time guidance on skin care, makeup application, wig and head covering selection and care, nail care, and more. With over three decades of experience, Look Good Feel Better has empowered over 1 million women in the United States and 2.2 million globally.

Luminaries believes Survivorship begins at the date of diagnosis, and supports people with any form of cancer. Luminaries offers science-backed individual wellness kits and tools, all which employ basic tenets of neuroscience, physiology, and positive psychology to help Survivors intentionally develop healthy habits of body and mind in Survivorship. Self-wellness kits are based around six areas of focus, each with a 60-day action plan. You will be introduced to foundational and effective practices that can be seamlessly incorporated into your everyday life. Luminaries also offers “Extra Care” items to be sent to by friends, to fellow Survivors, or to/from Caretakers for extra TLC.

The Male Breast Cancer Global Alliance (MBCGA) brings men with breast cancer together with researchers, clinicians, and oncologists around the world for the purpose of advancing research, clinical trials and treatments for men diagnosed with breast cancer. Our mission is to advocate for all men diagnosed with breast cancer to ensure they receive equal access to support and treatment; to serve as a source of support and resources for the men, their care partners, and their families; to ensure that men are appropriately represented in research and clinical trials, and to recruit volunteer “ambassadors” to increase awareness of breast cancer in men on a global scale.

The MBCGA works to have men considered and included in research and clinical trials; connects researchers to foster collaboration on developing treatments specific to breast cancer in men; serves as a growing alliance for like-minded breast cancer organizations all over the world; engages in legislative advocacy work at the state and federal levels to ensure that men have equal access to diagnostic and treatment care, and more. Memories Live was created in 2010, by Kerry Glass after a mother in her New Jersey community passed away from lung cancer at the age of 39. Kerry was struck by the fact that the woman’s two young children would never hear their mother’s voice again or never know the stories of her life from her perspective. It was at that moment Memories Live was born.

Kerry’s goal is to help capture the essence of who you are along with your memories and make a movie starring you, about you, for your loved ones.

The National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) was founded in 1997. Since that time NPF has made it our mission to significantly influence the physician and pancreatic research community and provide much-needed education and resources to patients and their families who are afflicted by pancreatic disease. NPF advocates for increased research funding for diseases of the pancreas from both the public and private sectors. NPF works with government, for-profit, and non-profit organizations as well as the bio-pharmaceutical industry to improve the level of awareness, interest, and investment in research for pancreas disease.

NPF and its Board of Directors and volunteers are committed to maximum efficiency with over 93 cents of every dollar impacting patient programs and research, making NPF one of the most efficient charities in the United States. Through their gift certificate program, NBCR provides funding for people to experience healing therapies and support services.
