About Me
Aaryn (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who completed her Masters in Social Work at Florida State University in 2005. She brings 18 years of clinical experience with a diverse background in medical, mental health, oncology and hospice social work.
Aaryn has presented at national conferences, held leadership positions at AONN+ Midwest, and led community wide efforts to reduce health disparities for those with serious mental illness. Aaryn sees cancer care as a social justice issue and wants to dedicate her efforts to providing equitable care for all and sees the use of technology as a way to accomplish this goal, which is why she joined Jasper.
Aaryn is an impassioned care navigator who feels a profound calling to provide unwavering support to individuals across the entire spectrum of cancer care, emphasizing both clinical expertise and a deeply personal commitment to each patient’s journey. She meets members right where they are, providing compassionate care to help them achieve their quality of life goals through a holistic approach, integrating the mind, body and spirit.
Whether they need advocacy, resources, education and/or support, Aaryn stays up to date on research and evidence based interventions. She is also trained in oncology specific tobacco cessation care. As a caregiver herself, Aaryn knows personally the barriers patients face and is committed to helping members feel empowered to overcome them.
Aaryn has lived all over the country, but currently resides in her home state of Florida with her husband of 18 years, 2 sons and a golden retriever rescue, Lola. She enjoys reading, walking, gardening, and spending time with family & friends.
